Brief description of course and learning outcomes:

The learning objectives for a course on Air Conditioning Advance diploma in air conditioning and maintenance services provide students with a comprehensive understanding of various aspects related to designing, installing, operating, and maintaining air conditioning systems. Moreover, provide Comprehensive understanding of the electrical components and systems that are integral to heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) installations. Course objectives is to give knowledge about Indoor Air Quality to educate students on the factors that influence air quality within indoor environments and how to maintain healthy and comfortable conditions. The Course also covers the Ductwork Design and Fabrication, which provide students with the knowledge and skills necessary to design, size, and fabricate ductwork systems for effective and efficient air distribution in heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) applications. Troubleshooting and Maintenance in the context of HVAC systems to equip students with the skills and knowledge necessary to effectively diagnose and resolve common issues that may arise in heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems.


Course Objectives:
Learners should be able to do the following by the end of the course:
1. Safety and Compliance emphasize the importance of safety protocols and compliance with industry standards, codes, and regulations to ensure the well-being of both technicians and end-users.
2. Environmental Impact and Refrigerant Management Educate students on the environmental impact of refrigerants and the latest technologies and practices for responsible refrigerant management and disposal.
3. Soft Skills and Professionalism Foster interpersonal skills, teamwork, communication, and a strong work ethic to prepare students for successful careers in the HVAC industry.
4. Maintenance and Troubleshooting Provide training in the diagnosis, repair, and maintenance of air conditioning systems, focusing on identifying and rectifying common issues and malfunctions.
5. System Design and Installation Equip students with the ability to design and install various types of air conditioning systems, taking into consideration factors such as load calculations, ductwork design, and equipment selection.
