Brief description of course and learning outcomes:
The goal of the Advanced Diploma in Facilities Management and Mechanical and Electrical Engineering is to equip
students with the advance base knowledge and a variety of skills necessary to enter or advance their careers in the
Building and Facilities Management sector. Without any prerequisite knowledge, the course would also cover a wide
range of related topics pertinent to Facilities management, and M&E services such as building maintenance
management, asset management, and the use of a building management system, motors, generators, transformers,
air-conditioners, lifts, lighting, plumbing, safety energy management, M&E system maintenance, electrical
installation, and energy audits.
Nowadays all large buildings have FM & M&E systems; Hence, the market needs technically skilled workers with
good knowledge and skills in this field. This course will help students advance their careers in this industry.
